Books – Wizard

We are currently seeking submissions of original fiction for the middle-grade and preadolescent audience (ages 8-13).

What we like:

Authentic middle-grade (MG) voice sweeps us off our feet. Write for savvy 10-year-olds.

Read our books to determine whether Sleepy Hollow Books is a good home for your manuscript. ORDER HERE

Our aim it to create a transformative reading experience for preadolescents -- to help them open to their own true nature. Books must be beautifully written; respect the intelligence of our readers; be sensitive to the emotional maturity of preadolescents. Funny is good, too.

We appreciate authors who promote their work.

  • Nurture children’s connection to nature
  • Address the natural and unseen world and other imaginative topics
  • Are life affirming and possess a sense of wonder.
  • Involve a shift in perspective, a new way of seeing
  • Feel good when you read them
